An Oncology Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals within cancer treatment settings. Their responsibilities encompass both clinical and administrative tasks, including:
• Patient Preparation and Support: Assisting patients before examinations, taking vital signs, updating their health record, and providing necessary information about procedures.
• Clinical Assistance: Supporting physicians and nurses during examinations, performing phlebotomy, administering injections, collecting laboratory specimens (including molecular testing), and assisting with diagnostic tests such as biopsies and procedures.
