Description We are looking for an experienced Medical Coder to support a hospital-based team in Metairie, Louisiana. This Contract position focuses on accurately coding a high volume of encounters across patient admissions as well as inpatient and outpatient hospital services. The ideal candidate brings strong technical coding knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing a steady workload.
Responsibilities:
• Review hospital encounters and assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes for timely claim submission and record integrity.
• Apply ICD-10 and CPT coding standards to inpatient, outpatient, and admission-related documentation with close attention to compliance requirements.
