Medical Laboratory Scientist, Histology
Position : Fixed term (until 2 November 2026), Part-Time, 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE)
Location : Canterbury Health Laboratories, Christchurch Hospital campus, Anatomical Pathology Department
We work within the Christchurch Hospital campus, at the Anatomical Pathology Department. This role requires a highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, who can work as part of a team as well as independently. Organization, efficient time‑management, and communication skills are also essential.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Section Head to ensure the laboratory provides appropriate support to clinical services with the provision of reliable and timely test results
- Provide technical and scientific support
- Provide high‑quality service to clients
- Carry out techniques according to laboratory protocol
