Medical Laboratory Technologist

The Medical Laboratory Technologist role involves analysis of specimens from patients for the purposes of diagnosis, prevention, prognosis, and treatment of disease. The specimens include blood, urine, other body fluids, and tissue. The Medical Laboratory Technologist supports Junior Medical Laboratory Technologists, Senior Medical Laboratory Scientists, and pathologists in the total test process (pre‑analytical, analytical and post‑analytical).

• Perform, verify and validate testing of specimens from patients.
• Perform calibration, validation, and preventive maintenance on laboratory analysers and other laboratory equipment.
