Job Description
Clinical Duties
- To assess, investigate and manage patients presenting to A&E and related services.
- To follow Clinical Practice Guidelines, hospital protocols, and care pathways.
- To perform procedures within competency.
- To refer patients to appropriate consultants when required.
- To ensure proper handover of patients between shifts.
- To elevate and refer patients to the Emergency Physician on duty (if available), particularly for patients in the red zone, unstable conditions, or those not responding to initial management.
- To attend all emergency calls (Code Blue, Rapid Response Team activation, ward emergencies, and acutely-ill patient hospital-wide).
- To assist in inpatient and outpatient clinical care when required.
- To accompany patients during transfer when necessary.
- To manage death cases in accordance with hospital policy.
Service Coverage & Deployment
