Job Description
Responsibilities
- To give absolute care to all outpatient and emergency cases attending Accident & Emergency Department.
- To attend to all CODE BLUE.
- To provide acute life‑saving care to any patient regardless of their financial disposition.
- To attend to an acutely ill patient in the ward prior to the consultant’s arrival.
- To accept pass‑over cases from resident Medical Officer in the previous shift.
- To hand over cases to the Medical Officer in the next shift.
- To write referral letters for any patient who need to be transferred‑out from the casualty.
- To carry out procedures as follows in Accident & Emergency and in the ward: Intravenous cannula insertion, CBD insertion, Blood investigation, Blood C + S, Toilet and suturing if requested by patient and within the Medical Officer’s capability.
