Job Title: Medical Records Specialist (Billing Department)
Job Summary:
The Medical Records Specialist supports billing operations by managing, organizing, and fulfilling claim related medical record requests. This is a full-time entry level position.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Process medical record requests from insurance companies related to pending claims including faxing, mailing, or uploading files to payer portals
+ Ensure responses are timely, accurate, and complete
+ Verify patient information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
+ Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient information
