Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Referral Specialist / Referral Coordinator with strong medical administrative skills to support our medical Referral Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end referral process, ensuring accurate coordination between providers, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate timely access to care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage incoming and outgoing medical referrals from initiation to completion
- Coordinate referrals between primary care providers, specialists, and facilities
- Verify insurance eligibility and referral requirements
- Obtain authorizations when required for referred services
- Follow up on pending referrals and approvals to prevent delays in patient care
