Requirements
- Appropriate qualifications that allow registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Neurosurgery.
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Neurosurgery.
- No experience required after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Neurosurgery. An advantage is 3 years’ experience after registration as a General Surgeon.
- Strong record of clinical governance, clinical expertise, surgical skills, and training and teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Publication record is an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal, leadership, communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of human resources management, budgeting and information management.
- Knowledge of relevant health and public service legislation, regulations, policies and medical ethics.
