This remote Medical Support Assistant role provides critical administrative and scheduling support for a large healthcare system serving Veterans in the Salt Lake City area. You will coordinate patient appointments, manage community care consults, handle high-volume phone interactions, and maintain accurate patient information to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant access to care.
Responsibilities
+ Schedule and manage patient appointments using designated VA systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
+ Process, track, and follow up on community care consults in accordance with established workflows.
+ Validate and update patient demographics and insurance information in the appropriate systems.
+ Conduct patient outreach by phone and other approved channels, including managing no-shows within 24 hours.
