Summary
Medical Technologist 2 is professional medical technology supervisory work or independent work of a comparable level in performance of diagnostic tests and procedures in a large clinical laboratory of a county hospital. A Medical Technologist II is responsible for technical supervision of a unit within a clinical laboratory division such as microbiology, hematology, chemistry or serology and urinalysis, performing the more difficult tests assigned to the unit. Related responsibilities include contact with the medical staff to discuss laboratory results and completion of demonstrations for residents or technology students.
