- Works to enhance communication between the Pathology residents, consultants, medical technologists and other staff from other departments.
- Acts as an advocate for the residents and promotes resident’s interests in conjunction with program needs and functions.
- Works closely with the Training Officers, particularly in coordinating resident rotation and duty schedules, conferences, orientation programs, social functions, applicant interviews, resident involvement in student teaching, and maintaining resident morale.
- Reports directly to the Chief Pathologist and Training Officers and inform them, when appropriate, of important issues involving the resident staff.
- Maintain communication with other residents in the form of meetings, electronic or written memoranda, or by other means.
