Job Description

Position Summary

: 

The Mental Health Reviewing Consultant is responsible for performing the psychiatric and mental health consultations and submitting the written recommendations.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Mental Health Reviewing Consultant shall review all documentation provided by the Independent Medical Examination – (IME) for adequacy, consistency, and credibility. 
  • Any discrepancies or other issues shall be communicated between the IME provider and the Mental Health Reviewing Consultant . 
  • The Mental Health Reviewing Consultant shall review and study all documents and provide a written recommendation to the Contracting Officer’s Representative- (COR) or Nurse Consultant via secured electronic transmission within ten (10)business days. 
  • For employees in weapon-carrying positions and/or public safety positions, the psychiatric physician's evaluation shall give emphasis as to the employee's judgment and ability to safely perform the...
