About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Support Worker to join our passionate and multi‑disciplinary team at Lakes Mental Health & Addiction in‑patient unit. This position will work alongside our registered nurses and members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the ward is clean, tidy and safe for staff and tangata whaiora, including housekeeping duties.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Assist nursing staff with tangata whaiora cares and management, including when needed personal cares.
Abilities and qualities:
- Relate effectively with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- Remain flexible and calm under pressure.
