Metal Polisher
We are recruiting for an experienced Metal Polisher to work for our client who are located in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for polishing and finishing metal moulds and components to a high standard, ensuring surface quality meets production and customer specifications.
THE DUTIES OF A TOOLMAKER:
Polishing metal moulds and precision components to achieve required surface finishes
Using hand tools, polishing equipment, and abrasive materials
Working with materials such as tool steel, aluminium, and stainless steel
Inspecting mould surfaces for defects, scratches, or imperfections
Carrying out mirror, high-gloss, or fine surface finishes where required
Working from engineering drawings and specifications
Maintaining polishing equipment and work area
Supporting the toolmaking or production team when required
Ensuring work is completed within required quality standards and timescale...
