As a Mine Warfare and Clearance Diving Officer in the Navy, you are at the forefront of commanding, planning, and executing critical military underwater operations, leading teams of specialist divers.

You'll command, plan, and execute crucial tasks such as mine warfare, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). During your career, you will be rotated through a variety of sea and shore positions. This could include being rotated to mine hunting vessels, Australian clearance diving teams, 2nd Commando Regiment, operation and support roles, major fleet units and instructional roles.

Your duties could include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Leading diving teams and assuming command roles.
