Motor Vehicle Operator

Summary The Motor Vehicle Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining a variety of government vehicles, including trucks, shuttle vans, cargo vans, and other vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 10,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds. The position involves transporting passengers, equipment, supplies, and materials over federal, state, county, and city roads in all traffic and weather conditions. POSITION IS FOR NAVAL STATION GREAT LAKES Responsibilities Operates and performs operator maintenance on one or more motor vehicles including platform trucks, van trucks, stake trucks, dump trucks, passenger shuttle vans, and cargo vans which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 10,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds.
