Job Responsibilities 1. Tooling Design & Development Design and develop injection molds (multi-cavity, hot runner, 3-plate molds) Define gating, cooling, venting, and material selection Review mold flow analysis and improve tooling performance Ensure tooling meets production capacity and cycle time targets 2. Tooling Validation & Testing Support mold trials (T0, T1, T2) Perform FAI, PPAP, Cp/Cpk, and DOE activities Troubleshoot tooling issues such as flash, short shot, warpage, and sink marks 3. Manufacturing Support Provide hands-on support to solve production issues Improve cycle time, yield, and mold performance Conduct root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) 4. Supplier Management Work with toolmakers and suppliers to review designs and fabrication Ensure tooling quality, cost, and delivery targets are met 5. New Product Introduction (NPI) Support new tooling development for new products Ensure smooth production ramp-up and tool transfer 6. Team Support Guide and m...
