About the role
Permanent, up to 80 hours per fortnight, based in New Plymouth across multiple sites. Join our dynamic team at Health New Zealand to work as a General Medical Imaging Technologist in the radiology department at Taranaki Base Hospital. You will work in the general department, participate in the on‑call roster—including weekends, shifts, and call duties—work autonomously, and make sound clinical decisions in high‑pressure situations.
Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality general medical imaging services, including x‑ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, interventional radiography, and fluoroscopy. Assist and supervise trainees, support clinical teams, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
