eBay is building eBay Live, a live shopping platform, and is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to develop and evolve the service.
What You’ll Do
- Translate requirements into software design and write clean, efficient, extensible, and maintainable code.
- Apply evidence‑centered design to make features testable and maintain high quality through continuous delivery.
- Manage project features, break them into sub‑tasks, and identify and resolve issues for efficient execution.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and coach teammates.
- Identify gaps across systems, propose solutions, build engineering roadmaps, and drive resolution.
- Lead end‑to‑end testing quality improvements to increase delivery velocity.
- Own release, on‑call support, and operations for a 24/7 live site.
