Job Overview
The NDT Tech provides solutions to problems in the NDT discipline without supervisory approval and will evaluate and select solutions from established operating procedures and scientific procedures.
Responsibilities- Examine welds/materials by Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Dye Penetrant (PT) based on code and contractual specifications
- Determine conformity/non-conformity flaws and report accurately
- Perform NDT examination of welds and materials by any of the following methods (RT, UT, PT, MT) under a written Project NDT plan, NDT procedures, code, and Contractual Specification
- Execute the examination by approved NDT procedures and internationally recognized codes/specs.
- Determine acceptance/rejection based on the defined criteria. The technician shall liaise with the assigned QC inspector to determine the completion of rectification work
