Qualifications

  • Completed apprenticeship or degree in IT (e.g. system engineering, network engineering, or equivalent)
  • At least 5 years of experience in network engineering and security engineering
  • Strong experience with firewall and VPN technologies
  • Hands‑on experience with technologies such as Fortinet, Cisco, Arista, OpenStack or OpenVPN
  • Strong understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP, BGP, Anycast, IPv6)
  • Experience operating Linux‑based systems
  • Experience with monitoring and logging systems
  • Professional proficiency in English (must‑have) and ideally German
  • Nice to have: Experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
