**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
**Mercy Medical Group (MMG)** , a multi-specialty group in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a Physician Assistant to our Neurosurgery team in Carmichael, CA. This position is primarily clinical with some surgical responsibilities. Clinical duties include post-op office visits and responding to patient inquiries. In the hospital setting, this role involves rounding and serving as a surgical first assistant. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with no call responsibilities and no weekends.
**Opportunity Highlights**
+ Helps with rounding, postop care in the hospital and clinic, and seeing some non-operative referrals
+ Some surgical assisting, approximately 3-4 times per month
+ Provides patient care within the scope of practice
+ Obtains medical history, performs physical examinations, formulates differential diagnoses, and establishes treatment plans in collaboration with the treating physician
