An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust as a Newborn Hearing Screener on a 15 month maternity cover contract.
The Newborn Hearing Screening Service is a small, friendly and experienced team of three, providing screening to approximately 4,000 babies per year born at Rotherham Hospital. Newborn hearing screening aims to identify permanent, significant hearing impairment in babies at the earliest opportunity, helping to reduce the impact on the development of speech, language and communication skills.
This post is 14.5 hours per week, worked flexibly according to service need. The role is based primarily at Rotherham Hospital, with the possibility of some shifts at Rotherham Community Health Centre.
