This is a full-time hybrid role for a News Reporter/Editor on the Punjabi Desk at StudioX News in Surrey, BC. The role involves researching, reporting, and editing news stories with accuracy and cultural sensitivity. Key responsibilities include conducting interviews, creating compelling news stories, editing content for clarity and adherence to journalistic standards, and covering events relevant to the Punjabi-speaking community. Collaboration with team members in the newsroom and efficiently managing deadlines are integral to this role. While the position is based in Surrey, there is flexibility for remote work when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Punjabi and English, with strong skills in writing, editing, and translation.
