Job Description
INFUSION APC
The advanced practice clinician (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) within the acute care hospital setting works in collaboration with, and is an integral member of, a multidisciplinary health care team. The APC provides comprehensive care to patients within the infusion center.
Assessment Management
- Infusion APC provides care to patients receiving infusion treatments initiated by multiple specialties including (but not limited to) Oncology, Rheumatology, and Neurology.
- Follows escalation algorithm and contacts appropriate prescribing teams who refer patients to the infusion center in response to infusion reactions or complications.
- Performs focused exams and assessments for patients receiving care at the infusion center and develops treatment plans accordingly.
