Job Description
**Description:**
You will be the Nuclear Hardening and Survivability Engineer – Level 5 for the Aeronautics team which is responsible for ensuring aircraft avionics and mission systems remain operable in hostile nuclear environments.
**What You Will Be Doing**
As the Nuclear Hardening and Survivability Engineer – Level 5 you will be responsible for providing deep technical leadership on the design, analysis, testing, and certification of avionics and mission systems that must survive HEMP, ionizing radiation, thermal flash/radiation, blast, gust, and over‑pressure events.
Your responsibilities will include:
+ Developing and validating hardening strategies and survivability metrics that meet U.S. military nuclear survivability standards.
+ Leading system‑engineering integration and test activities for NH&S program plans, including derivation of hardening requirements.
