**Job Summary:**
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician. This will be a night time position working 7 days on and 7 days off (after completeing training on days).
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Manage patients in collaboration with the cardiothoracic surgeons and critical care intensivists, providing specialty care ot patients with acute and chronic problems. Function as the primary responder for all cardiac surgery needs from 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Remain in ICU providing continuous active management except as needed to respond to other urgent inpatient/outpatient cardiac surgery needs.
+ Triage or address consults for immediate care or elective care.
