Description
Summary: Under the general supervision of the physician, delivers acute and basic health care to clients, and fulfills such duties as assessment, planning, teaching, and counseling.
Essential duties:
- Obtain health and development history and conduct physical assessments using appropriate tools.
- Assess the health status of the client by discriminating between normal and abnormal physical/emotional findings.
- Order appropriate screening and/or routine diagnostic tests.
- Provide treatment of minor illnesses and accidents either in consultation with the physician or according to established protocol.
