Summary The Dayton VA Medical Center is seeking Nursing Assistants for all shifts to join our team in the Community Living Center, Roosevelt Gardens. Selectees will provide Veteran/resident care, perform clinical procedures, technical procedures and ancillary services. You also perform personal care or nursing care activities that do not require licensure and/or education. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Listens attentively to report and note pertinent items. Accepts adults chosen life-styles and assists necessary adjustments relating to health. Recognizing adults' values and function of independence and ability to be self-sustaining in life. Assisting patients to keep physically and socially active and to maintain peer group interactions. Assisting patients to cope with loss, e.g. hearing, eyesight, and death of significant others. Assisting patients with self-care as required, and with maintaining as much independence as possible.
