Occupational Therapist - Acute Respiratory and Rehabilitation Team

We are looking for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist who is proactive and enthusiastic, and interested in advancing their career on the Band 6 ladder. The role is a full‑time, 8‑month fixed term post supporting the Acute Respiratory and Rehabilitation Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital during a maternity leave.
Main duties of the job
- Provide a high standard of intervention across the specialty as an autonomous practitioner.
- Work independently as part of an integrated rehabilitation service, applying advanced clinical reasoning for individualised, proactive, and holistic assessment and treatment planning.
- Support and develop rotational Band 5 therapists.
- Supervise therapy support staff and educate therapy students on placement.
