Job Description
The School Occupational Therapist supports students in developing the skills needed to participate successfully in school activities, focusing on physical, sensory, motor, and self-care abilities to enhance learning, independence, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assess students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, self-care, and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment results.
- Provide one-to-one or small group therapy sessions within classroom or therapy settings.
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
- Support students with special needs, learning difficulties, developmental delays, or physical challenges.
- Recommend classroom adaptations, assistive devices, and ergonomic supports.
