DescriptionThe Offsite Endoscopy Specialist assists physicians and RNs with procedures Gastrointestinal procedures.
Responsibilities Performs and records patients vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respirations. Documents intake and output and other data as assigned. Sets up equipment and assists physician and RN with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including but not limited to Upper Endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, manometry. Checks equipment function for use during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Cleans, disinfects and/or sterilizes equipment and accessories according to Infection Control guidelines. Documents all processing activities to appropriate logs. Maintains processing machines with scheduled filter changes. Troubleshoots equipment and scope problems.
