Operational Accountant
Type: Permanent | Office-based (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30)
Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Operational Accountant to support financial operations through accurate reporting, strong controls, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounts Payable and support Accounts Receivable
- Review financial transactions, VAT and reconciliations
- Prepare VAT returns and financial reports
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with SARS, Tax and VAT requirements
- Assist with audits and stock takes
Requirements
- Completed Accounting Degree
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Retail experience advantageous
- Strong Excel and accounting systems knowledge (Microsoft Dynamics beneficial)
- Own reliable transport
