Position Overview:
We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Operations Coordinator to support our shipping agency operations in Djibouti. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating vessel activities, ensuring smooth port operations, and managing essential documentation processes.
Candidates must have a strong background in agency operations, with specific expertise in using DPCS and SYDONIA systems, as well as generating EDI/XML files. This role requires flexibility to work both in the office and on-site at the port, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate should also be adaptable and willing to assist with additional tasks, including participating in internal/external surveys, and supporting communication needs for the company's upcoming marketing agency business — specifically, someone capable of drafting professional emails or speaking with clients when needed.
