Job Summary
The OT Technician prepares the operating room, maintains a highly sterile environment, calibrates specialized surgical machinery, and directly assists the surgical team before, during, and after surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Operative Preparation
- Sterilize the environment : Perform room fumigation and deep sanitization according to hospital protocols.
- Set up instruments : Arrange, count, and prepare specific surgical instrument trays and trolleys requested for the scheduled procedure.
- Calibrate machinery : Check, troubleshoot, and test the functionality of anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors, and centralized oxygen lines.
- Patient transit : Assist in transferring the patient safely from the stretcher onto the operating table and position them as required for the surgery.
2. Intra-Operative Assistance
