Summary
Objective: The primary duty of the Paramedic is to conserve life, to alleviate suffering, to promote health and to encourage the quality and equal availability of emergency medical care. The Paramedic is qualified in advanced pre-hospital emergency care and services by a competency-based educational program. The standard of practice of the Paramedic shall be in accordance with the most current MDCH guidelines.
Essential Duties:
- Know and support the Mission Statement, Policy/Procedures and standards of MMR.
- Conduct a careful examination of the patient for signs and symptoms of injury/illness and assist other medical personnel as necessary.
- Provide prompt and efficient care of the patient and stabilization of his/her condition prior, during and to destination.
