Job Description

The Setnor School of Music within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach MTC 145/146 M002/M003 Theory & Musicianship I and II during the Fall and Spring semesters, 2026-27. There are 2 sections offered in the fall and 2 sections offered in the spring.

MTC 145 – Instruction of music fundamentals: elementary counterpoint, basic principles of diatonic harmony, voice leading and analysis, all diatonic triads, and their inversions.

MTC 146 – Instruction of diatonic harmony and voice leading continued from MTC145 – Theory & Musicianship I: seventh chords, non-harmonic tones, common chord modulation, melody harmonization, and analysis of music literature. Primarily for music majors.
