Required Skills:
- Apply a multisensory, diagnostic, prescriptive approach to customized 1:1 instruction.
- Create focused, data-informed lesson plans specific to each individual student’s needs.
- Collect data, monitor progress, and write narrative reports.
- Build rapport with students K-8.
- Candidates must have demonstrated experience using the Orton-Gillingham approach.
- Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in education or special education; licensed teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working 1:1 with students K-8 is highly preferred.
- A solid understanding of language-based learning disabilities is strongly desired.
- Familiarity with interpreting neuropsychological reports and IEPs is another plus.
