Job Description
Passive Fire Installer/Carpenter
Location: Auckland, Temp, $30‑$35 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Install passive fire protection systems, including fire stopping (penetrations – pipes, cables, ducts, etc.).
- Install fire‑rated walls, ceilings, and compartmentation.
- Apply intumescent coatings and structural protection.
- Seal penetrations to prevent fire and smoke spread and maintain fire ratings.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and fire engineering details.
- Carry out reinstatement works (linings, insulation, seals, barriers).
- Complete QA documentation, photo records, and compliance tagging.
- Identify defects/non‑compliance and complete remedial works.
- Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth installs around services.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety on site.
