Summary Within the context of a patient, resident, client and family centred model of care and, in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Providence Health Care, promotes a safe, respectful, and civil working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors and staff.
Reporting to a Patient Care Manager/Unit Supervisor and receiving work direction from a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) or designate, the Patient Care Aide, Tertiary Mental Health (TMH) works with the interdisciplinary care team within the context of a person and family centred recovery model. Carries out established nursing/personal care programs and social/leisure activities for patients living with complex mental health, neurological and neurocognitive disorders in a TMH unit/program.
