**Job Description**

**UW Medicine - Harborview Medical Center Insurance Eligibility and Financial Counseling Services Team (IECS)** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Patient** **Financial Counselor** .

**WORK SCHEDULE**

+ 100% FTE (40 hours per week)
+ Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 8:00am - 5:00pm
+ Day Shift
+ Hybrid after a 6-month probation period

**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**

+ This is an onsite position at Harborview Medical Center for the first 6 months, with potential for transitioning to a hybrid work schedule upon successful completion of the probationary period
+ Participate in interviewing patients to determine appropriate insurance coverage and/or Financial Assistance
+ Refer uninsured patients for Medicaid/Financial eligibility screening
+ Prepare estimates of fees upon request from Patient Care Consultants
+ Review payment options with patients
