Patrol Officer (Twelve posts) (Post Level 14) (Stellenbosch Campus)
Department: Campus Development, Infrastructure and Services – Campus Security
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, investigate, follow up, and keep a record of high‑risk circumstances that could jeopardise the safety of Stellenbosch University property and community.
- Relieve duties in the Operational Centre for alarm and camera monitoring.
- Act as the enquiry and reference point for SU during patrols on campus.
- Provide timely response for standby duty where emergency services are deployed on campus.
- Assist clients during fire‑drills at residences and academic buildings.
- Interact positively with campus community members daily and assist in identifying potential safety and/or criminal problems.
