About the Role
The Paving Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily asphalt paving field operations, coordinating with owners and general contractors, and organizing crews and sub‑contractors. They ensure contracts are completed safely, on time, on budget, in compliance with specifications and customer expectations, and provide accurate revenue and cost information to the accounting staff. They also review invoices and cost reports prior to release. The role involves developing and maintaining the capabilities of the GVA operations organization to increase construction revenue and profitability. This includes coaching and mentoring direct reports and continually promoting a culture of agility, collaboration, and empowerment to enable continuous improvement.
