Job Description
I am a gentleman with Motor Neurone Disease, living at home with my wife in Peebles. I am looking for a small team of Personal Assistants to come and support me at home. I also have some social time allocated per week. I have little use of my arms and hands but am still mobile.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Mornings (1.25 hours) – ideally around 7:30/7:45am but can be flexible
- I need someone to come and supervise me with transferring from bed, through to the bathroom to have a shower/wash.
- Please allow me the time to use the toilet, if required.
- Please shower/wash me.
- Please support me with any grooming and oral hygiene as required.
- Once showered/washed, please support me to dry thoroughly and get into clean clothes for the day.
- Once ready, please then prepare a breakfast and drink of choice – I will need support from you to eat and drink
