Job Description
Responsibilities
- Dispensing Medications: Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense prescription medications to patients, ensuring the correct dosages, formulations, and instructions.
- Patient Counseling: Provide advice and guidance to patients regarding proper medication usage, side effects, and possible interactions, ensuring understanding and compliance.
- Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels of medications, manage orders, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals to comply with safety and legal standards.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care, review prescriptions, and recommend alternative treatments when necessary.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pharmacy operations are in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, including drug regulations, safety protocols, and maintaining accurate patient records.
