Responsibilities
- Assumes the duties and responsibilities of Pharmacist IV in his/her absence.
- Supervise and organize work flow at the inpatient and outpatient services.
- Dispenses drugs and medicine, and other pharmaceutical preparations;
- Checks for accuracy of doses prepared:
- Intravenous admixtures
- Unit dose Reviews and interprets each unit dose and IV admixture medication order to insure that it is entered accurately into the unit-dose or IV admixture system.
- Participates in the regular meetings of the Therapeutics Committee and other hospital committees involving the Pharmacy.
- Provides drug information to physicians, nurses, and other health-care personnel.
