Duties Description Independently prepares, fills, verifies, dispenses medications/orders on the basis of prescriptions or other legal authority in accordance with article 137 of the educational law; and supervise pharmacy aides.
Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).*
Minimum qualifications for taking the Open Competitive Examination: must have a license and current registration to practice pharmacy in New York State.
*For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.
