A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ. This role focuses on enhancing patient care through collaboration, education, and medication safety during the 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize drug therapy and dosing decisions.
- Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians about medication use and safety.
- Lead medication safety initiatives and monitoring.
- Review patient profiles to prevent adverse drug reactions and ensure appropriate therapy.
- Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and manage narcotic accountability.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with relevant experience in hospital settings.
- Strong knowledge of medication management, IV admixtures, and drug safety.
