Job Description
Responsibilities
- Screen incoming prescriptions (in-patient and outpatient) and fill the prescription according to the directions given.
- Counter-check prepared drugs against the prescription and dispense drugs to patients, providing necessary instruction.
- Send all prepared or take-away drugs to wards.
- Compound lotions and mixtures and prepare dilutions for stock and for extemporaneous use.
- Repack bulk drugs into suitable units for dispensing.
- Indent for drugs, containers and labels for pharmacy use whenever required.
- Assist in stock‑taking.
- Assist Pharmacist(s) in ward checks.
- Reconstitute cytotoxic drugs.
- Adhere to all Acts, Laws and Regulations governing pharmacy services at all times.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist‑in‑charge and Pharmacist.
